Serie A table after Matchday 29

With the Easter celebrations giving the Serie A calendar a different complexion on Matchday 29, there were three big teams in action on a Friday night and no matches to be played on Sunday.

The three back-to-back matches on Friday night got underway with Inter in action away at Salernitana. Despite being 1-0 up for nearly the entirety of the game and having many chances to double the lead, a fluke goal from Antonio Candreva meant that it ended 1-1 in Salerno.

Napoli then tried to bounce back from the 4-0 defeat against Lecce and despite it being a very tough and attritional display, Luciano Spalletti's side won 2-1 in Salento.

The evening was rounded off with AC Milan looking to build on the Napoli win, but they could not find the net against Empoli in a disappointing 0-0 draw.

Saturday's games began with Udinese 2-2 Monza and then there was a win for Bologna away at Atalanta, a draw for Fiorentina against Spezia, a win for Cremonese away at Sampdoria, and AS Roma's 1-0 win away at Torino.

A late turnaround saw Verona beat Sassuolo 2-1 before Lazio won the biggest game of the weekend as they beat Juventus 2-1 at the Stadio Olimpico.
