Serie A fixtures 2023/24: Full calendar confirmed - when are the derbies, what are the first and last matchdays?

The 2023/24 Serie A fixtures have been released by Lega Serie A which means that clubs now know roughly which order they will be facing each other in the new campaign.

We say roughly as every single fixture is subject to change and this announcement just confirms which teams should play each other on which matchday, rather than the actual timings of all the matches which will be decided as the season progresses.

Derby della Madonnina: When is AC Milan vs Inter?

The Derby della Madonnina between AC Milan and Inter is one of the most thrilling fixtures in the European calendar and last season, we were lucky enough to see five of them. There were two in Serie A, one in the Supercoppa Italiana final and two in the Champions League semi-finals. Inter dominated, winning four and losing one.

The first Derby della Madonnina in 2023/24 will be very early in the campaign as it comes on Matchday four. Inter will host the Rossoneri at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on the weekend of September 16/17. The next game is Milan vs Inter on Matchday 33, played on April 20/21.

Derby della Capitale: When is AS Roma vs Lazio?

Perhaps the most bad-tempered derby in Italy, the Derby della Capitale is always an extremely fiery affair in a packed and noisy Stadio Olimpico. Both fixtures ended with 1-0 wins for Lazio last season, who certainly had the better campaign of the two.

The first Roman derby is on Matchday 12 and sees Lazio vs Roma on November 11/12. The reverse fixture of Roma vs Lazio is on Matchday 31, played on April 6/7.

Derby d'Italia: When is Inter vs Juventus?

Another massive part of the Serie A season, this game is always better if both teams are fighting for the Scudetto. Given how unpredictable the new campaign could be, that my well be the case. The league games both ended in wins for Juventus last season, but Inter won the Coppa Italia semi-final between the duo.

The two Derby d'Italia fixtures in 2023/24 will be played on Matchday 13 and Matchday 23. The first is Juventus vs Inter on November 25/26. The second is Inter vs Juventus on February 3/4.

Derby del Sole: When is AS Roma vs Napoli?

The Derby del Sole between Italian champions Napoli and AS Roma is another very feisty fixture between two fan bases who really do not get on. Both matches in 2022/23 went the way of Napoli as they continued their relentless charge to the title.

The first match between the two sides next season will be on Matchday 17 with Roma vs Napoli on December 22/23. The reverse fixture will be on Matchday 34, Napoli vs Roma played on April 27/28.
