Inter made hard work of maintaining their lead at the top of Serie A on Matchday 19 as they needed a late goal and a penalty miss to beat Verona 2-1.

On Friday night, Bologna's top-four push took another hit as they could only salvage a draw against Genoa at home, whilst Frosinone continued to slip down the table thanks to a 3-2 loss against Monza.

Lecce and Cagliari remained near the bottom with a 1-1 draw, whilst Sassuolo climbed after beating Fiorentina 1-0.

Sunday saw AC Milan keep their challengers at bay by beating Empoli 3-0 to stay in third, whilst Napoli lost even more ground in the top four race as they lost 3-0 away at Torino. Lazio also stayed in the hunt, winning 2-1 away at Udinese.

Juventus made hard work of their Sunday evening trip to face Salernitana as Dusan Vlahovic's 91st-minute winner secured a 2-1 win, having fallen behind in the first half.

To end the weekend, AS Roma and Atalanta played out a 1-1 draw which keeps everything tight in that battle for fourth place.
