Juventus recorded a crucial 1-0 victory at San Siro over AC Milan after the home team had a player sent off in the first half on Serie A Matchday 9.

Milan had been the better of the two teams and looked the more likely to open the scoring, but that changed shortly before the half-time break after Malick Thiaw was sent off for dragging Moise Kean down as the last man. Juventus remained passive, but a deflected Manuel Locatelli shot put them ahead with half an hour to play.

The victory means that it is Inter at the top of Serie A, one point ahead of Milan, whilst Juventus close things up and are just a point behind the Rossoneri and two behind the Nerazzurri.
