AC Milan kicked off Matchday 6 of the 2024/25 Men's Serie A season in stunning fashion on Friday night, as they defeated Lecce 3-0 with three goals in five minutes at the Stadio San Siro and secured a top four place for the first time this term. With the Champions League qualification places starting to take on a familiar feel.

On Saturday, Inter and Juventus ensured they would end the weekend alongside the Rossoneri, with both hitting trebles against Udinese and Genoa respectively. Although it was a far tougher task for the Nerazzurri, who also conceded twice in Udine. However, despite qualifying for Europe's premier club competition last season, Bologna and Atalanta drew 1-1 and continue to languish in the bottom half of the table.

Napoli moved to the top of the standings on Sunday with a 2-0 win over Monza. Helped by Torino suffering a disappointing 3-2 home loss to Lazio at the start of the day, who moved to within one point of the Granata and maintained the same gap on Rome neighbours AS Roma. The Giallorossi coming from behind to overcome Venezia 2-1.

The Tuscan Derby between Empoli and Fiorentina was the only goalless encounter of the weekend, but the Matchday 6 action did end in entertaining fashion, as Parma were defeated 3-2 by Cagliari at the Stadio Ennio Tardini, despite looking like they had salvaged a point through an 87th minute penalty.
