Inter will play at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza for the first time this season on Serie A Matchday 2, and they will be aiming to kickstart their title defence against Lecce.

Matchday 1 had a bit of everything for Inter as they went behind, equalised, took the lead, and then conceded a goal at the death to draw 2-2 away at Genoa. Not many expected Inter to drop points so early in the season, so anything other than a win against Lecce would raise eyebrows.

Lecce were only three points away from relegation last season, and this season they may not be as lucky, at least if their Matchday 1 result is anything to go off. The Giallorossi were on the receiving end of a 4-0 thumping against Lecce and they could receive another this weekend against a Nerazzurri team hungry for their first three points.

Inter vs Lecce: Predicted line-ups

Inazghi is expecting to have Piotr Zielinski among the substitutes for the game against Lecce with the Polish midfielder recovering from his recent injury. However, Stefan de Vrij will not recover in time.

The Italian coach is also making decisions in two areas, both involving his team's right side. Benjamin Pavard is currently preferred to Yann Aurel Bisseck in the back three, whilst Denzel Dumfries is ahead of Matteo Darmian on the wing.

For the visitors, Luca Gotti is expected to offer Filip Marchwinski and Lameck Banda their first starts of the season. As things stand, Valentin Gendrey will start at right-back, but with Hoffenheim pursuing a move for him, Andy Pelmard could be given the nod.

Inter predicted XI vs Lecce (3-5-2): Sommer; Pavard, Acerbi, Bastoni; Dumfries, Mkhitaryan, Calhanoglu, Barella, Dimarco; Thuram, Lautaro.

Lecce predicted XI vs Inter (4-2-3-1): Falcone; Gendrey, Gaspar, Baschirotto, Gallo; Ramadani, Pierret; Banda, Marchwinski, Dorgu; Krstovic.
