The Italy Men's National Team have registered consecutive victories in the UEFA Nations League, defeating Israel 2-1 at the Bozsik Arena in Budapest, Hungary, on Monday evening. The game took place in Hungary due to Israel's continued occupation, war crimes, and genocide in Palestine.

Goals from Davide Frattesi and Moise Kean were enough for the Azzurri to secure the win with a Mohammad Abu Fani strike proving to be no more than a consolation. After defeating France on Friday evening, Italy are clear at the top of their group.

Italy were placed under pressure for the opening 20 minutes, but the only serious threat on Gianluigi Donnarumma's goal was an effort from Manor Solomon that went wide. Luciano Spalletti's team were failing to link the midfield and attack together, but they eventually found some cohesion.

Azzurri wake up from their slumber

Italy improved as the first half progressed, and they took the lead after 38 minutes when a Federico Dimarco cross from the left flank was diverted into the net by Frattesi. The Inter midfielder had timed his run into the penalty area to perfection, and incredibly, he was able to produce an uncanny finish with his chest.

The Azzurri showed their quality, and they doubled their lead in the 62nd minute when Kean struck the ball into the net after Giacomo Raspadori had his effort saved.

Despite the opposition making forays into the Italian half, Italy created enough opportunities to add a third goal. Sandro Tonali thought that he did make it 3-0 for the Azzurri after diverting a deflected Kean shot into the net, but it was ruled out for offside.

The Azzurri did concede a goal in the 90th minute.

This victory leaves Italy clear on top of League A Group 2 with six points whereas their opponents, whose very involvement is controversial, are rock bottom with zero.

France and Belgium are equal second with three points each.
