Napoli just keep on swatting aside everybody that is put in front of them to march on at the top of the Serie A table, and it was Empoli who fell at Luciano Spalletti's side's feet on Matchday 24. The Partenopei won 2-0 in Tuscany despite going down to 10 players.

Sassuolo picked up three more points on the road, beating Lecce 1-0 in Salento thanks to a Kristian Thorstvedt strike in the second half.

Inter suffered a defeat away at in-form Bologna which left them a whopping 18-points behind Napoli, whilst Salernitana surprisingly beat Monza 3-0. An exciting game was played out in Udine as Spezia secured an impressive 2-2 draw with Udinese.

Sunday night saw AC Milan take on Atalanta at the San Siro and after creating a host of chances, the Rossoneri won 2-0 to continue their return to form.

Fiorentina hammered Verona 3-0 at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi on Monday night with help from a controversial and stunning strike from Cristiano Biraghi. Lazio beat Sampdoria 1-0.

Cremonese claimed their first win of the Serie A season after 23 winless matchdays, beating AS Roma 2-1. Juventus came from behind to beat cross-city rivals Torino 4-2.
