Matchday 2 of the 2024/25 Men's Serie A season started in predictably dramatic fashion with the likes of AC Milan and Lazio both losing against supposedly weaker opposition, whilst AS Roma then followed suit on the Sunday night.

The two early games on Saturday saw Lazio fall two goals behind at Udinese before the Friulians were reduced to 10 players, but they still won the game 2-1. Milan produced a shocking display away at Parma to lose 2-1, although it could have been a lot worse.

Later in the evening, Genoa got a 1-0 won away at Monza to continue their impressive start to the new season, whilst Inter easily beat Lecce 2-0 with the Nerazzurri barely getting out of second gear.

On Sunday, Fiorentina and Venezia played out a 0-0 draw whilst Torino and Atalanta entertained throughout the 90 minutes in what ended up being a 2-1 win for the Granata. Napoli impressively beat Bologna 3-0 to get off the mark, whilst Roma toiled against Empoli and were beaten 2-1 at the Stadio Olimpico.

Cagliari drew 1-1 with Como 1907 on Monday night before Hellas Verona were beaten 3-0 by an impressive Juventus side at the Bentegodi.
