Serie A table after Matchday 25
It was another impactful weekend at the top of the standings on Matchday 25 of the 2023/24 Serie A season, as leaders Inter extended their lead over both Juventus and AC Milan.
After the Nerazzurri began the matchday by smashing bottom side Salernitana 4-0 on Friday night, the Bianconeri dropped two points away at Hellas Verona and Monza recorded a stunning 4-2 win over the Rossoneri.
That allowed Champions League qualification hopefuls Atalanta, Bologna and AS Roma to gain ground on the duo, with La Dea defeating Sassuolo 3-0. A result that the Romans matched at Frosinone on Sunday night. While the Rossoblu won a tight contest with Lazio 2-1 in the capital.
Reigning champions Napoli and Fiorentina continue to drift out of contention, as the drew 1-1 with Genoa and Empoli respectively. The Azzurri keeping close to Udinese who could only draw 1-1 with Cagliari.
