Serie A 2024/25: Matchday 11 results and table
Napoli suffered an unexpected 3-0 thrashing at the hands of Scudetto challengers Atalanta on Sunday afternoon, but remain at the top of the 2024/25 Men's Serie A table, but just four points separate the top six, as Juventus, Inter, Lazio and Fiorentina also won on Matchday 11.
The action began on Saturday with Lecce fall back to the bottom of the standings with a 1-0 defeat to Bologna, before Juventus and AC Milan recorded away victories at Udinese and Monza respectively. The Bianconeri were well worth their 2-0 win in Udine, but the Rossoneri were lucky to escape their Lombardy neighbours with three points.
After the action had finished at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in Naples, a solitary Moise Kean goal was enough to give Fiorentina a 1-0 win against Torino. AS Roma then imploded once again away to Hellas Verona to lose 3-2. While Inter finished the day by struggling to a 1-0 victory over Venezia, with captain Lautaro Martinez the hero in Milan.
Matchday 11 finished with an uninspiring trio of games, as Empoli overcame Como 1-0 and Genoa lifted themselves out of the relegation zone with a late win over Parma by the same scoreline. The 2-1 win by Lazio over Cagliari at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, though, was marginally more entertaining, as the Biancocelesti continued an impressive start to the season.
