AC Milan begin their 2024/25 Serie A season at the Stadio San Siro with a Matchday 1 fixture against Torino on Saturday, and the Rossoneri will be looking to start on the front foot under new coach Paulo Fonseca.

Last season was a tough one for the Diavolo, and there were several issues. However, with Fonseca at the helm and some new players through the door, they will be hoping to challenge champions and cross-city rivals Inter.

Torino had a decent 2023/24, but there have been several changes this summer, most notably Alessandro Buongiorno departing. They have made some interesting additions this summer, but whether they will be able to push forward this season remains to be seen.

AC Milan vs Torino: Predicted line-ups

By all accounts, AC Milan look set to play a 4-2-3-1 this season, and most departments have already been decided. However, in the midfield, Fonseca still has some decisions to make.

The midfield trio needs some refining, with the Portuguese coach trying different combinations this summer, and with the club still chasing Youssouf Fofana, the midfield composition is something that still needs work.

Paolo Vanoli has one decision to make between now and this weekend, and that is who will start alongside new club captain Duvan Zapata. Currently, Antonio Sanabria is the preferred option, but Che Adams could make a late charge and make his Serie A debut.

AC Milan predicted XI vs Torino (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Thiaw, Tomori, Theo; Reijnders, Loftus-Cheek; Chukwueze, Pulisic, Leao; Morata.

Torino predicted XI vs AC Milan (3-5-2): Milinkovic-Savic; Vojvoda, Coco, Masina; Bellanova, Ricci, Linetty, Ilic, Lazaro; Zapata, Sanabria.
