An underwhelming AC Milan were soundly beaten 3-1 by Torino in Matchday 37 of Serie A at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino on Saturday.

Torino broke the deadlock midway through the first half when Colombian striker Duvan Zapata netted his sixth goal against the Rossoneri with a deft header, and less than 15 minutes later Ivan Ilic doubled the advantage with a powerful header of his own.

Milan's evening went from bad to worse when their former defender Ricardo Rodriguez added a third with a thunderbolt from range, although Ismael Bennacer scored a consolation from the penalty spot.

The Rossoneri are guaranteed second spot in Serie A despite the defeat, whilst Torino's victory sees them move up to ninth place.
