AC Milan won 3-0 against Empoli at the Stadio Carlo Castellani on Serie A Matchday 19, finishing the first half of the campaign comfortably in third place.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek opened the scoring for the Rossoneri with a well-placed shot after an excellent team move. Azzurri midfielder Youssef Maleh was adjudged to have committed a handball after a VAR review, allowing Olivier Giroud to double the lead from the penalty spot. Chaka Traore came on as a substitute late in the match and scored the third after a counter-attack.

This victory takes AC Milan to 39 points whereas Empoli remain 19th on 13 points.
