AC Milan maintained their perfect start to the Serie A season at the expense of out-of-sorts AS Roma, as they secured a 2-1 win at the Stadio Olimpico on Friday evening.

An early Olivier Giroud penalty put the Rossoneri ahead, before Rafael Leao doubled the advantage with an acrobatic finish shortly after the interval. Despite Fiyako Tomori's red card on the hour mark and a late Leonardo Spinazzola goal, Milan held on to make it three wins from as many games.

The Rossoneri have moved clear at the top of the Serie A table whilst Roma's disastrous start to the campaign sees them stuck on just a single point.
