Women's Serie A Podcast: Juventus cruise past Inter, and Maurizio Ganz is finally gone!
Matchday 8 of the Serie A Femminile season featured yet more points for the likes of AS Roma, Juventus and Fiorentina, but it also featured a high-profile managerial sacking.
Maurizio Ganz has finally been dismissed from his role as AC Milan's head coach, news that will be met with glee by some of our listeners. Milan dropped points again by drawing 1-1 with Sampdoria, and that was the final straw. There was much jubilation from a couple of former Milan players.
Roma continued winning with a 2-0 victory away at Sassuolo, but Juventus were the most impressive side as they strolled past Inter with a 5-0 win in which Arianna Caruso and Julia Grosso netted in the first five minutes. Elsewhere, Fiorentina beat Como Women 3-0 and Pomigliano won the Campanian derby with a late penalty to beat Napoli Femminile 2-1.
We’ve got Euan Burns hosting and Conor Clancy joining him to chat through all of the latest Serie A Femminile action.
