Inter 2-1 Genoa: Goals, highlights and report - Serie A 2023/24

Inter held off a spirited Genoa fightback to secure a 2-1 win at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Matchday 27 of Serie A on Monday.

The Nerazzurri took a two-goal advantage in the first half through Kristjan Asllani and an Alexis Sanchez penalty, but Genoa hit back thanks to a fine Johan Vazquez volley. Inter ultimately held on to secure victory however, despite Genoa pushing for an equaliser and seeing a Vitinha goal disallowed.

Simone Inzaghi's side have now opened up a 15-point gap at the top of the Serie A table, whilst Genoa remain in 12th place.
