Women's Football Podcast: Winning starts for AS Roma and Juventus, Soncin debuts as Azzurre boss
The new 2023/24 Serie A Femminile season is underway and the opening weekend saw victories for some of the usual suspects, with AS Roma, Juventus and Inter all getting their first three points on the board.
There was a reassuring element to the weekend as no team that we would expect to be near the bottom of the table put in the sort of performance that would be cause for any major concern, hinting at a strong overall division, albeit with only one game as a sample size.
AC Milan will be the least happy as they were beaten 4-2 at home by AS Roma and never really looked like getting something on the balance of play despite getting to 2-2. There is also Azzurre action to discuss after Andrea Soncin named his first squad for the Nations League.
We’ve got Euan Burns hosting and Conor Clancy joining him to chat through all of the latest Serie A Femminile action.
As ever, the Women’s Football Podcast in which we talk through the Serie A Femminile action is available exclusively here to subscribers to Patreon.com/TotalItalianFootball, where there are €2, €5 and €10 tiers available.
