Inter extended their lead at the top of standings with a comprehensive 4-0 win over Salernitana at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Matchday 25 of 2023/24 Serie A campaign, while the visitors look destined for relegation to Serie B.

A quickfire double from Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martinez midway through the first-half put the Nerazzurri in control of the game and some calamitous defending from the Granata allowed Denzel Dumfries to tap home a third just before the break, before Marko Arnautovic scored a fourth in injury-time.

It was the perfect fixture for Inter, rarely having to get out of first gear on the night, as they turn their focus to a Champions League Last 16 first-leg clash with Atletico Madrid in midweek. While Salernitana will be pleased to leave Milan with a defeat in single figures.
