The 2024/25 Men's Serie A table has had its first injection of points for the campaign with plenty of goals being scored straight from the off.

The opening two fixtures saw Parma draw 1-1 against Fiorentina on their Serie A return, whilst champions Inter were only able to draw 2-2 away at Genoa with Junior Messias netting late on.

In the two later games on Saturday, there was a 0-0 draw between Empoli and Monza, whilst AC Milan scored two late goals to draw 2-2 with Torino, meaning all four of the opening-day matches ended in a stalemate.

Sunday began with Bologna and Udinese drawing 1-1 whilst Napoli got off to a horrendous start by losing 3-0 away at Verona, with Antonio Conte saying he was 'ashamed' after the match.

AS Roma only managed to draw 0-0 with Cagliari in Sardinia at the same time that Lazio beat Venezia 3-1 after falling behind very early at the Stadio Olimpico. On Monday, Atalanta thumped Lecce 4-0 to take top spot in Serie A, and Juventus cruised past Como 1907 with a 3-0 win.
