It was a horrible Halloween for AC Milan as they ended Matchday 10 of the 2024/25 Men's Serie A season 11 points behind leaders Napoli, after frightful performance against the Neapolitans at Stadio San Siro on Tuesday night resulted in a more comprehensive defeat than the 2-0 scoreline suggested.

There was more suffering for the Rossoneri the following night, as Milanese neighbours Inter also secured three points with a 3-0 win at Empoli. Although fellow title rivals Juventus did drop points, with Parma securing an unexpected 2-2 draw in Turin.

However, Milan should probably be worrying about securing Champions League qualification before lifting the Scudetto, as Atalanta and Fiorentina continued their impressive form to move into the top four with wins over Monza and Genoa respectively. In addition, Lazio leapfrogged Juventus into fifth with a 5-1 demolition of Como 1907.

The midweek action finished with AS Roma lifting the gloom around the Stadio Olimpico in Rome with a hard fought win over Torino, who have started to slide down the standings after an excellent start to the campaign. Just like Udinese, as Venezia lifted themselves off the bottom with a last-gasp 3-2 victory on Matchday 10.
