Retegui strikes twice as Italy secure narrow friendly victory over Venezuela
Mateo Retegui was back to his best for the Italy Men's National Team as the Genoa striker netted twice to secure a 2-1 win over Venezuela in Fort Lauderdale.
Retegui grabbed his first goal just five minutes before the end of the first half, by picking up the ball in the Venezuela box and instinctively firing into the bottom corner.

That lead would only last for three minutes, as Italy became the architects of their own downfall. Gianluigi Donnarumma played Giacomo Bonaventura into trouble and his loose pass was intercepted by Darwin Machis who fired into an empty net at the Chase Stadium.
It took until the 80th minute for Italy to get back in front, and it was another impressive finish. Jorginho burst into the box and played it to Retegui who had his back to goal. He then swivelled and fired into the top corner.

Italy's next match will be against Ecuador on March 24, where they will try to make it two wins out of two for the March internationals.
