Inter will take a slender lead to Spain after defeating Atletico Madrid 1-0 late on at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in the first-leg of their 2023/24 Champions League Last 16 encounter.

After Marcus Thuram was forced off through injury at half-time, on came Marko Arnautovic to fire past Jan Oblak on 79 minutes, after the 2010 Champions League winner wasted several earlier chances.
