Cagliari 1-4 Roma: Goals, highlights and report – Serie A 2023/24

AS Roma ran riot on Serie A Matchday 8 against Cagliari with a 4-1 victory at the Sardegna Arena.

Roma were able to start the scoring through Houssem Aouar, and less than a minute later, they doubled their lead when Romelu Lukaku met Rick Karsdorp's cross with his chest.

In the second half, Andrea Belotti worked some magic to make it three and Lukaku's second was typical of the goals he has scored throughout his career. Although Nahitan Nandez scored a penalty in the 87th minute, it was nothing more than a consolation goal for the home side. 

Cagliari remain rooted to the bottom of the Serie A table. On the other hand, Jose Mourinho's side rise to tenth with an important three points.
