AS Roma maintained their excellent form with a 1-0 win over relegation-threatened Sassuolo at the Stadio Olimpico in Matchday 29 of Serie A.

A tight encounter was settled by a fine Lorenzo Pellegrini strike from range early in the second half, as Roma extended their unbeaten run in the league to five games. However, Sassuolo came close to a late equaliser as Diego Llorente almost turned the ball into his own net, but was rescued by the post.

Victory sees Roma keep up the pace with Bologna in fourth and remain three points behind, whilst Sassuolo sit in 19th place.
